Breaking News : UNIVERSITY OF MAIDUGURI: Unimaid won performance award N25 million given by JAMB 2019

As a result of the unrelenting effort and determination of the Vice Chancellor University of Maiduguri Prof Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi NPOM SONTA in ensuring that the University gives out admission to candidates who are worthy, inspite of the palpable number of applicants who seek to enroll in its programmes every academic session, coupled with a working system introduced by the VC to tackle the problems some institutions of higher learning face when admitting candidates.

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board JAMB, in its wisdom has identified this great feat attained by this foremost citadel of learning in the SubSaharan Africa, the prestigious University of Maiduguri and therefore honoured it with a National Tertiary Admission's Performance - Merit Award tagged 2018 NATAP - M Award.

The ceremony which took place today 23rd May, 2019 in Abuja had in attendance the Vice President Prof Yemi Osinbajo SAN as a special guest of honour, who was ably represented by Mrs Maryam Uwais, A senior special Assistant in the office of the Vice President, the Honorable Minister of Education Mallam Adamu Adamu, the Registrar of JAMB Prof Ishaq Oloyede, Hon Minister of State Education Prof Anthony Onwuka among others.

The Vice Chancellor Prof Ibrahim Njodi who received the award on behalf of UNIMAID thanked the Vice President, the Minister of Education and the Registrar for finding UNIMAID worthy of such award.
